Edge to Edge Quilting with your Embroidery Module
Before class, have a small size quilt ready for quilting (placemat, table topper, small wallhanging)
Supplies:
Thin quilt batting or fusible fleece. Backing and batting should be a minimum of 6-8 inches bigger all the way around your top.
Choose a design and have it downloaded onto a USB stick or loaded on your machine. There may be some designs built into your machine that may also work. Just make sure they aren't a triple-stitched design as it takes longer to stitch during class.
Tear Away Embroidery Tape
90/14 quilting, topstitch or microtex needle
Embroidery foot (Bernina is #26 or #44)
Water Soluble Marker
Straight Edge Ruler
Pen & paper for note taking
Basic sewing and quilting supplies-scissors, rotary cutter, tweezers, needles, thread, etc...
40-50 weight thread- Isacord, Mettler or Aurafil for both top and bottom
Largest hoop you have for your machine and your design- Val prefers the Bernina Medium Clamp Hoop, but a regular hoop works also. Must be at least a 5"x7" hoop.
**Machine and embroidery module must be in good working order. Must have working knowledge of your embroidery machine**
